Nice to Meet You:
My name is Ms. Yuwen Kimberly Ling & this is my 5th year here teaching 6th grade Science at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. I feel so privileged and thrilled to be part of the Jaguar staff. Prior to teaching here, I taught 5th grade in St. Joseph, Illinois and 3rd grade near the University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign. The U of I is where I graduated with Honors in Elementary Education. I am endorsed to teach all content areas from K-8, but my favorite subject to teach is Science!! I aim to provide a challenging, yet fun atmosphere where questions and investigations are welcome.
Just like my 6th graders, I strive to learn and improve. In the years 2009-2011, I attained my Masters Degree at Concordia University in Educational Leadership. I believe in working hard and playing hard, and demonstrate diligence and passion in my work. I hope that this will be reflected as the year progresses.
On a personal level, I recently got married in the summer of 2012. My husband and I currently reside in Vernon Hills and are involved in the Jr. High ministry at our church. Things I love: Animals, especially dogs; anything with the outdoors, like hiking, biking, fishing, sports, and camping. And of course, I looove chocolate!
